12 oz. on-tap in pint glass at the brewery
L: clear copper, topped by 1/4-inch head of offwhite foam, no stick; starts with good activity producing full collar and most of a skin but that activity fizzles into nothing about 1/3 into the glass
S: sweet caramel with pinch of earthy hops in background
T: caramel, toasted peach, background earthy hop layer with slight hint of creamed corn way deep down in there that grows just a little as the beer warms; the creamed corn note never overtakes any of the other notes ... at its strongest it's still very slight
F: lightweight with moderate crispness
O: very similar to Texas Beer Co.'s amber lager but with a nose as good as a doppelbock, the slight creamed corn note and surprisingly a more lager-like mouthfeel than the lager; bottom line is it's tasty and easy to handle
