A West Coast-inspired IPA that is brewed with an obscene amount of Simcoe hops. The result is our most hop-forward beer, with plenty of tropical flavors and a piney finish.

This is the 'West Coast Vibes' version in the crowler can on passion fruit and guava. ABV% marked on can as 8%,
Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date marked as '6-6(2018)'.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Thin white head upon pouring. Spots of sheets of lacing left behind.
Faint aroma of piney hops. With just a hint of the fruit addition (passion fruit and guava).
Taste is full of piney hops, with some tropical fruit flavor, and a dry funk finish. Quite earthy at the end.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Very little bitterness but has a little funky twang. Lower carbonation support.
Wild Mind makes non-typical IPAs. This is an example with a piney aspect but also an earthy funk. The added fruits add a little sweet fruity flavor, which makes the beer remind us of an IPA. It's more of an IPA than a farmhouse ale or a wild ale, but still not like a text book IPA. It's commendable that Wild Mind can make IPAs that are in demand from its customers but remind us that the brewery is more into the wild yeast nature of beer brewing.

Slightly hazy, bright golden color, slim white head.
In the nose: bitter, funky, fruity.
In the mouth: More tropical fruit hops, a touch of citrus, just a little bitter, just right.
Lean bodied, mellow malt. Easy drinker. Smooth and refreshing. A twist of tart in the finish. Quite tasty, goes down with ease.
Has me wondering what yeast they used to get this slightly funky flavor. I'll ask around.
Hoppy, piney, tropical.
