Packed with Citra and Mosaic hops, Humulus Luau was referemented with more than 330 pounds of pineapple and 20 pounds of fresh coconut to add a sweet, tropical punch to our base NE IPA. The resulting haze-bomb is lightly hoppy and bursting with tropical flavor alongside a soft, pillowy mouthfeel.

Pours a cloudy straw golden color. Smell had pineapple house yeast and slight coconut . Taste was very good as it warmed more coconut came out that mixed well with the pineapple. Mouth feel very tropical and soft. Warming this brew makes for a better experience

Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date is marked on label as '6-7(2018)'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. A little bit of white head quickly settles to island spots. Leaves a few squiggles of lacing.
Lots of pineapple in the aroma, along with Wild Mind's base slightly wild IPA. Coconut is faint but there.
Flavor expresses the earthy Wild mind IPA along with the sweetness of pineapple. Coconut is again faint. Sweetly funky but the fruitiness is subdued.
Thin to medium mouth feel. No bitterness. Can drink almost like a fruit juice, but more dull than sweet.
Quite refreshing and extremely easy to pound. Another one of Wild Mind's version of a fruity IPA, but without an NEIPA's attributes of extreme juiciness and pillowy mouth feel. I like this beer because of its refreshing nature, and subdued juicy taste.

Appearance: Arrives cloudy and pineapple juice colored; the one inch head delivers a few spots
Smell: Pineapple with a hint of coconut
Taste: Pineapple forward with a touch of coconut; juicy, with modest bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Juicy and refreshing but lacks the balancing bitterness to capture the style
