Poured from crowler can into glass. Currently on tap at the tasting room. Filled on 5-9-2018.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger, fluffy head settles to thin cap. Left behind are strings and webs of lacing.
Berry in the aroma, with melon in the background. Very subtle aromas.
Taste early on is sweet melon, which is then pushed away by very earthy dark berry. No bitterness.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Has a kind of metallic quality, and rather dry.
This is another one of Wild Mind's less than typical IPAs (in this case an DIPA). Wild Mind IPAs have a wild yeast component that allows the beer to express IPA hop characteristics but in the end include a definite funk or twang. This one has a strong earthy berry component that connects well with the funk/twang.
