There’s more than a bit of magic in our latest distribution beer. Puff the Passion Dragon was fermented with our own blend of 100 percent Brettanomyces, creating a funky and lightly tart base to which we added more than 60 pounds of tropical hops to add a soft bitterness and tropical flavor the complement the wild yeast. To wrap things up, we conditioned Puff on 336 pounds of passion fruit and 250 pounds of dragon fruit to add a final touch of tartness and a whole lot of tropical fruit flavor. This ambitiously funked up fruited sour pours a vivid pink and has notes of earthy funk, tropical fruit, and a hint of citrusy hoppiness.

We have a sour, throw a ton of hops at it, then add a bunch of tropical fruit. Not a good combination. It is sour and bitter in a harsh way. Not a lot of funk. Does not work in this beer or any other that has attempted this hoppy IPA sour combination.

Tap pour at Grizzly's Plymouth MN. Distributed to various on sale establishments at or around 7/15/2018. Not available at the Wild Mind tap room.
Slightly cloudy, pinkish hue colored body. Has a skiff of head when presented. Did not notice any lacing.
Aroma of tropical fruits, and a hint of citrus. Also carries the Wild Mind wild yeast scent.
Taste is tart, just a little sour (but not puckering or teeth scraping), with pleasing flavors of tropical fruits and a little citrus. A little funky with the Wild Mind yeast.
Medium mouth feel. Dry. good carbonation.
Another very good Wild Mind fruit sour.
