Brewed with 2-row, malted white wheat, and flaked wheat, this hazy Northeast-style IPA is heavily hopped with Azacca, Amarillo, Motueka, and Citra for a slightly bitter and enticingly sweet finish. The Element of Progress has a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and is bursting with notes of fresh tropical fruit and citrus zest alongside a hint of fresh herbs.

L: hazy yellow gold capped by 2.5" of sticky, lacy ecru colored foam with fair to good retention

S: Fruit, tropical fruit, melon, and spice dominate the aromas supported by light bread crumb, cardamom, a trace of funk, a hint of tart and a faint woody smell

T: Medium high herbal, citrusy bitterness pulls together fruit, spice, berry, tangerine, orange and faint grapefruit flavors

F: smooth soft creamy wild ale texture and a medium light body

O: The beer strikes a balance between big character and drinkability

Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date of '7/26(2018)'.
Hazy, straw/gold colored body. Slight, bubbly white head. Leaves behind some lattices of lacing.
Heavy hop presence in the aroma, along with the steely wheat malt. Most dominant hop flavor is pineapple, mixed with other tropical fruits.
Tropical fruit flavor, with very slight citrus rind at the end. Kind of sweet, and no bitterness.
Lots of hop burn on the tongue. Medium to fuller mouth feel. Good carbonation.
If one can get by the tongue burn, this beer can be quaffed from beginning to end. Described as a Northeast-style IPA, but it lacks the true haze, fruitiness, and pillowy mouth feel. Good enough for what it is.
