Brewed with Maltwerks pilsner malt and traditional German Noble hops (Spalt, Tettnanger, and Hallertau Mittelfrüh), our ideal pils was fermented with a Dutch lager yeast at the lower end of the temperature range, which allowed the beer to condition for an extended period of time. High-krausen wort from an upcoming batch of Ideal was added towards the end of conditioning to help the beer naturally ferment before being kegged directly from the tanks. The end result is a clean, crisp, and crushable beer that's everything a pils should be.

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Clear pale yellow, good head.
Smell: Sweet corn and some grass.
Taste: Hits with a little bitterness, then sweet corn and a mix of lemon and grass. Finishes in the same way, sweetness with lemon. Light bodied.
Overall: Picked up a 4 pack to try, this really hits the spot! Sweet, but not too sweet, good balancing hop flavors without being too far to the IPA side. It's only 4.1% and great flavor, if only it was $12 for a 6 or 12 pack instead of a 4 pack.

On tap at the brewery
This beer pours a slight murky golden color. The head is 2 finger, frothy, fluffy, long lasting, and great lacing on the glass.
Nose is a sweet malty biscuit aroma, with grainy notes.
Taste this beer is very grainy flavored. There's also buttery biscuit in the mix. Pleasing sweetness, but not crazy.
The feeling is crisp and bubbly.
This beer is light and refreshing.

At the tap room, into a pint glass, pours a super solid gold, a touch of haze, bubbles, a big 2 finger head with ok retention and loads of lacing. Nose is big on sweet malty breadiness, a little sour and vegetal, too. Not much in the way of hops...maybe a little fresh-cut grass. On the tongue, more malty goodness...a little sweeter, again, then my favorite pilsner-malt forward pils, but i’m not complaining...this is good. A hoppy edge to the mouthful, making it crisp and lively, though i’m not sure it adds much to the taste profile. Definitely getting some good and interesting yeast notes, too. Full body for the abv. Thumbs up from this pils lover...it is a slightly odd take, but it is tasty.

Pours a slight light hazed yellow with a nice white head. Smells of grassy floral hops with some lemon and citrus. Taste followed nose with a good dose of Noble hops and some bready cracker malts. Crisp and well carbonated, a nice quencher pils here.

Poured from crowler can into glass. Fill date marked on can as '9-13(2018)'.
Mostly clear appearance but has a bit of cloudiness. Each pour brings forth a rapid rise of frothy, bubbly white head, which subsides, but leaves behind a total coating of rather thick lacing.
Malty sweet in the aroma, with floral and slightly spicy hops.
Has a taste balance of sweet malt, very slightly bitter hops, and yeast twang.
Medium mouth feel. Very good carbonation.
This is a very fresh, bright, and crisp drinking lager.
