This fruit forward IPA was mashed with equal parts banana and grain — 500 pounds of each! Loads of Citra and Motueka hops in the whirlpool and dry hop stages added deep citrus and tropical flavors to this lush, in-your-face fruity banana IPA.

Poured from crowler into glass. Fill date is marked as '10/17(2018)'.
Cloudy, straw colored body. Half a finger of white, bubbly head settles back to thin cap. Leaves behind some dense lacing patterns.
Aroma has a banana overtone, with the main smells being tropical and citrus hops.
Taste is a subdued sweetness of tropical and citrus hops, with the trailing end of the taste profile being unsweetened banana. Also has some dry hop residue at the tail end.
Mouth feel is medium. Has a tart, dry aspect that cleanses the palate (but allows for a lingering of banana). Good carbonation.
One of the drier and unsweet American IPA's I have tried. The closest other drink I can compare this to is unsweetened pineapple/banana juice. For me this beer is not made for extended session work.
