Blend of foeder and barrel aged golden sour that underwent secondary fermentation with guava and grapefruit before being conditioned on mint leaves just before packaging. Forbidden Amrood has a nose of guava and soft mint with a strong grapefruit and tart citrus finish to blend to meld the melange of tropical flavors.

Bright golden orange, some larger bubbles after a heavy pour, sharp clarity. No carb trails, the carb level is low.
Funky tropical guava in the aroma and taste, a dry woody edge of oak as well.
Very sour and citric, fruity and puckering. Very little grapefruit peelbitterness in the finish to balance the acid.
Overall, still a nice tropical fruit character though bracingly sour.

500 ml bottle split with my brother at the brewery. TONS of grapefruit in the aroma and flavor. Bitter grapefruit pith with some mint (my brother got a lot more mint than I did). Some sweetness from the guava, I assume. Overall it was a decent beer but the flavors didn't work particularly well together.

Appearance - Pours cloudy golden color with a nice white head that settles to a thick ring. No lacing.
Aroma - Right off the bat the guava is insane nice tartness, light acidity the mint really comes out well and is very gentle with the guava.
Taste - Wow lots of guava, I did not get much grapefruit in the nose but it comes out in spades in the flavors. The mint is again very subtle but well placed and lingers to add a slight earthiness on the end. lightly tart not very acidic at all.
Feel - Medium bodied pretty soft surprisingly great carbonation great dry finish.
Overall - Really impressed they pulled these flavors off and how balanced they are.
