Forgotten Barrel Society Bottle 8/10 (2018). Cinnfulways started out with a blend of Spontané, our coolship-fermented wild ale, and was conditioned in bourbon barrels on Honeycrisp apple juice for more than two years. Just before bottling, honey, vanilla beans, and cinnamon sticks were added to add further complexity to this spontaneously fermented apple ale.

750ml bottle. Corked and capped bottle.
Clear, pale gold colored body. Minimal fizzy head upon pouring, which quickly disappears. No lacing.
Aroma of apple juice, vanilla, with a touch of cinnamon. Bourbon barrel is way in the background. Slight lemon.
Taste is lemon tart and sour Granny Smith apple. The vanilla and cinnamon have a smoothing effect, along with a honey sweet touch. Barrel is minimal. Has a dry and quick end, with very little after taste.
Medium mouth feel. Strips the teeth with each sip, but the vanilla lessens the effect.
Interesting apple juice cider, with the added bonus flavors of vanilla, honey and cinnamon.
