Pours a murky, hazy, golden color. Lots of carbonation, but minimal head. Retention wasn't the best, though it produced a ring around the edge of the glass. No lacing on the glass.
The aroma is wild and funky, earth and floral. Some lemon aromas here. Minimal watermelon but very faint.
Taste - well, the watermelon is very strong here and a lot more than the aroma let on. Very wild, and funky earthy flavors here. Watermelon lingers. Tartness, and you wouldn't expect it from watermelon.
The body is good for the style. The funky feeling and tartness does linger in my throat. Crisp and tart.
Wild, funky and tart. sold beer in the style.

From a 350 ml single bottle...a blend with their golden sour ale, which I like a lot. good middling sourness, lots of round juicy watermelon notes as well as some cucumber...promising. The mouthful is a tad syrupy, though, and that puts me off a little. All in all, it’s okay, but a lesser effort from a brewery that puts out a lot of solid stuff.
