This smoothie-style sour ale with raspberry, banana, vanilla and marshmallow comes together for a decadent treat in liquid form! We took our base sour ale recipe and amplified it with some of the most delicious flavor combinations we could think of along with a healthy dose of milk sugar. The complimentary and contrasting adjuncts come together for a tart, yet sweet and full bodied wave of "off the beaten path" flavors.

On tap at The Brass Tap, Cedar Falls. IA. Served in a snifter.
Color and aroma reminiscent of a root-beer flavored Dum Dum lollipop. (Seriously.) Vanilla, marshmallow, and raspberry on the palate, again recalling root-beer candy. Sweet and tart, but not overly so. The lactose (presumably) gives it a slightly silky mouthfeel. Finishes cleanly, with a bit of raspberry tartness lingering on the palate. Overall, this is quite good and everything plays together nicely. Would be a good introduction to kettle sours for anyone not familiar with the style.

16oz can. Bottom of can is stamped 'Best By 04/30/23'.
Cloudy orange brown colored body. Brief white head, which results in a spotty cap and ring. No lacing.
Aroma is vibrant, with raspberry and banana, filled in with sweet vanilla and marshmallow.
Taste is certainly sweet, but has a touch of tartness. Flavors abound with raspberry and banana, with background sweetness from vanilla and marshmallow. Mellow fruit sweetness in the aftertaste.
Thicker mouthfeel with fruity syrup. Low carbonation.
Generally sweet kettle sour but has some tart counterbalance. Lots of fruit sugar and added sugar from the marshmallow and vanilla. Difficult to distinguish this as a beer, more of a fermented fruit tart smoothie.

Can. Had this at a fest and it was a huge surprise. Very refreshing and fruity with the right amount of sweetness. Banana, vanilla, marshmallow combo was excellent. Not very tart.

For those times when you want have certain cravings and you don't even know if such product exists, Wild Minds have you covered if that craving is a raspberry marshmallow peep.

Pouring peachy-mauve and held in a medium haze, Amplify the Absurdity releases a fluffy white cap with a twinge of pink. As a sweet and tart scent of berry, apple, grape and cream rounds the nose, its candied influence extends into taste with a cereal-sweet, candied berry and vanilla wafer culmination that suggests raspberry parfait.

Little changes as the sweetness washes the middle palate in nearly soda pop fashion. Vanilla and cream never really reach banana proportions, but the raspberries wrap around the creamy sweetness for what only comes to mind as a raspberry marshmallow. Balanced by a tart twinge of apple, wine cooler and citrus, the beer has virtually no bitterness heading into finish.

Full bodied, sweet and creamy, a sensation of a fuller kool-aid rounds the finish and brings a sweet-tart finish that only carries a tepid sense of refreshment and lack of closure in proper sour-ale fashion. But as a smoothie, the beer compares quite favorably.

Pours a slight hazed light raspberry color with a big light pink head. Smell is raspberries and vanilla. Taste is fresh fruit with raspberries marshmallow and some banana. A soft and slightly tart mouth feel with fresh fruit, not as thick as i would have liked
