750ml bottle. Capped over cork. No dating information found.
Cranberry colored body. Brief lasting fizzy head. No ring but a steady rise of bubbles. Lots of detritus at the bottom of the bottle. Suspended in the body is fruit pulp.
Aroma of dry oak funk.
Taste is an explosion of fruit - raspberry and blackberry. Definitely sour but also has a sweet note as a partial balance. Has support from the oak. Funk is a mix of hay and leather. Long lasting aftertaste but dries the mouth.
Nectar type mouth feel. Quiet carbonation.
The raspberry and blackberry add an attractive color to the body, not a shade often seen in beer, more in wine. Sour and funky, and full of flavor.
