16oz can. No dating information found. Purchased at the taproom.
Hazy, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of white head, which slowly reduces to a creamy cap and high ring. Leaves behind webs and partial rings of lacing.
Aroma is tropical, citrus, with pine. Has a prominent nose of earthy coconut.
Taste is broad but hardly integrated. Not real juicy, more of an earthy and herbal expression. Flavors include orange, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, pine, berry, coconut, and a bit of mint. Has a touch of onion. Both sweetness and bitterness are restrained. Mellow aftertaste of resin, unsweetened citrus, and hoppy hay.
Slightly more than medium mouthfeel. Somewhat dry finish. Very good carbonation.
This IPA stands apart from juicy New England or bitter/hoppy/malty West Coast IPAs. Full mouthfeel and flavor profile.
