Rich and luscious barleywine built on a simple malt base, double mashed and boiled for nearly a day and a half to develop a fullness and complexity that would stand up to an extended slumber in barrels. Aged in freshly dumped apple brandy barrels for over 21 months. Notes of mulled apple cider with fresh cinnamon, homemade vanilla ice cream, bourbon caramel sauce, and oak. This massive, yet approachable beer emerged from the barrels as close to perfect as we could have wished for and is served to preserve its velvety smooth character.
