Drank from 16oz can in a pint glass in November 2022. I did not see any canned date on the label or can, and I drank this about 1 week after purchase.
Appearance: Dark brown with a little hint of red, with a 2-finger tan/brown head. Head was tall and very carbonated with small bubbles, and left only a little lacing on the glass.
Smell: Varied aroma of pumpkin, cinnamon, roasted malts, and caramel as well, but overall the pumpkin spice and roasted malt dominate the others. I do not get much hops aroma.
Taste: There is a strong pumpkin flavor on top of the usual malty stout flavors. Also some other spices like cinnamon and a little pepper. I do not get any bitterness from hops. The pumpkin and raosted malts are most prominent.
Mouth-feel: Strong alcohol, but with a very smooth and creamy body. Matches the 10% alcohol on the website.
This is a nice, flavored ale that has a variety of flavors that adds some complexity to the beer. I like pumpkin ales such as this that have some spice in the flavor. This is very smooth and enjoyable to drink. This is a fun beer and good to drink in fall. It is currently one of my favorite pumpkin ales along with Weyerbacher's and Southern Tier's. I would buy this again.
