This Barbarian yeast strain drives a beautiful natural stone fruit juicy aroma with a clean finish. Meanwhile we add in 3.5 pounds of hops per barrel in late addition and dry-hopping creating that great haze plus the tropical aromas from the Azacca, Mosaic and Mandarina Bavaria Hops. Oh me oh my!!

Slightly more than a fingers worth of off white froth... Modest retention... Color is a slightly hazy pale gold... Big citrusy nose highlighted by mango and oranges... Flavor profiles is a bit subdued... In addition to the citrusy notes, the palate introduces some earthy characteristics... Lush and medium bodied with light citrus... Enjoyable and quaffable...

16 ounce can, canned on 06/29/20. Thanks to my buddy Denis for this one! Served in a DFH Spiegelau IPA glass, the beer pours a hazy gold color with a few inch off-white head that I let settle before pouring the rest of the beer in the glass. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit and some bready/grainy malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some stonefruit, grassy hop and citrus peel flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and has a high amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was a decent enough brew, worth a try if you come across some!

From the can, it pours a clear golden orange color, much to my surprise considering the brewery lists it as a NEIPA; it’s not hazy at all! An aggressive pour yields a large head with good retention.
The aroma is very citrus forward with notes of oranges, tangerines and grapefruit. The malt profile smells bready and grainy. Aligning with the taste later on, herbal aromatics that are grassy and piney develop midway.
Medium bodied and moderately carbonated with a citrusy and pithy flavor profile. Flavors of grapefruit rind , orange and tangerine peel and a touch of lemon align with the aroma and evoke old school IPA. Yet, it does not open particularly bitter, instead somewhat juicy but without the sweetness or frothy smoothness of NEIPA. Hard to categorize the mouthfeel as it’s not quite smooth yet lacks a bit of crispness. As the herbal hops flavors develop belatedly, they evoke some bitterness and traditional notes of pine and grass. The finish is dry and pithy with a touch of resiny bitterness.
Kind of difficult to rate this to style. It misses the mark if one considers it a NEIPA as the brewery did. Rated an AIPA, as it is here on BA, it is drinkable and refreshing, albeit unspectacular.

Brewery is very cool so worth the trip. Beer was solid but certainly not a revelation. Really not as juicy as I would have expected or hoped.

On tap at the brewery.
A - Medium gold color, nice creamy white head, sticky head and very mild carbonation.
S - Light citrus nose (and that's being generous).
T - Juicy citrus from start to finish with a lingering citrus grapefruit finish.
M - Medium body with light pricklies.
O - A nice, juicy citrus IPA.
