On cask at Revelation Craft Brewing Company, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Pours a jet black color. A creamy tan head retains very well. Good looking brew.
As the name implies, the nose emits the sweetness of chocolate and mint leaves. Aromas of dark biscuity malts, caramel, milk chocolate and cream.
Sweet but dry with milk and dark chocolate flavors, mint leaves, and doughy, biscuity and dark toasted malts. A light roast throughout, yet, it is so smooth it doesn’t have any charred qualities. Subtly hopped with an increasing earthy bitterness that compliments the roastiness of the dark malts. The finish is dry with some lingering bitterness.
Medium to full bodied with a very creamy mouthfeel. Appropriate for the cask serving, the carbonation is very gentle.
Ultra smooth and fun to drink. Nice Irish Dry Stout.
