Color is on the border of very dark brown and black, with a finger of dark khaki head that quickly settles into a thin, soupy cap. Moderate lacing.
Chocolate, red wine, medium roast coffee show most in the nose, with hints of cherry-vanilla, caramel and chicory behind.
Nice mix of sweetness and toasty character in the taste with more cherry-vanilla and red wine on the one side and clear roasted coffee on the other, lending a touch of acerbic bitterness. There’s more of that woody, chicory character as well. Alcohol burn.
Medium bodied and moderately slick feeling with tight carbonation.
A decent BBA coffee stout with a good mix of flavors. Enjoyable. The vanilla addition is quite nice. 20BBV.

Slick silky burnt black with a thin mocha chain.
Vanilla and coffee pair with woody barreled element giving a charred note. The body is actually crisp and bubbly and finishes warmingly semi-dry, where the vanilla is enhanced by the barrel.
