The result of the combination of ingredients from across the world, Frankenstark hits you with delicious rye and wheat flavors, accompanied by Belgian yeast notes. It's a smooth one, but remember, Frankenstark is a monster.

12 oz can

Pours a cloudy dark golden color, big white head, good head retention. Big herbal phenol and boozy aroma. Sweet bready malt, warm finish. Medium bodied.

May be slightly too sweet for some, it is sweet, but for local (to SC upstate), beer this could be one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Which has been a very large sample of lots of beers. Have had about about three cases of this one over two years. Not much to add other than that, if you can try it, you should.

12 oz can, undated, in SC on Jan. 2, 2019.
This is not an Americanized Belgian style ale, although the hop load is enough to make it drink like Belgian Pale Ale rather than what might sometimes expect in a "Belgian Style Golden Ale". Actual Belgian yeast has a substantial impact on the flavor and leaves bananas, light spices and faint bread in the aroma.
The body is pale, hay golden and topped by a good white head.

Hard to believe they're charging only $4 for this! The taste is very above average for beers in this price range. While I am experienced with Belgian style beers in general, I've rarely seen golden ales offered, but this both looks golden as advertised and has a good mouthfeel.

Poured a 12 oz can into a pint glass. Nice creamy head formed on a slightly hazy golden ale. Smell is fruit forward almost like ripe bananas. After that you get a nice whiff of wheat and a spicy note of rye.

The taste matched the aroma with a fruity sweet beginning giving way to bread. Definitely can taste the rye and I love it. Right as you swallow a hint of alcohol makes an appearance to say hello.

The carbonation is prickly and the bubbles feel tiny an plentiful like a foam.

Drinks easy but has the potential to pack a punch at 8.2% ABV.

Frankenstark by Currahee Brewing Company at Turtle Creek Growler

Can poured into glass; hazy golden color. Modest hops and fruit to nose. Well balanced on palate with hint of rye or wheat on the back. 6/1/17

There is a small head on this beer that disappears quickly.
The smell is actually nice, and to style.
But I can't help but feel like the beer tastes a bit like corn, it's very strange.
I suspect it is a defect, if I try to get past that I like what I see.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is sweet and is malt and hops. The taste is a refreshing blend of mellow hops and malt. An outstanding Belgian Ale.
