Appearance: Slightly cloudy amber orange in color, with a fairly robust, fine-beaded creamed-colored head, with very good retention. the lacing is thick, sticky, and patchy.
Aroma: Mildly toasted malt, with grassy and metallic hops, mild toasted malt, and some slight caramel, and hints of grapefruit rind.
Taste: Opens with a slightly sour and metallic note, there are toasted malt notes beneath. Midway through the taste, there are some citric hops, tending towards grapefruit. Finishes with a slightly sour tang,
Mouth feel: A bit dry, with tannin notes, fairly full, little carbonation.
Drinkability/notes: Seems a bit off-style for an Oktoberfest.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a Save the World Brewing teku.

Pours out a cloudy straw color. The head is substantial and very foamy/soapy with big bubbles. Retention is pretty awesome too. It also leaves a lot of sticky lacing. This is probably the lightest colored Marzen I have seen.
Smells nothing like a Marzen. Not bad just more like a lager with some lime. I guess I sort of get a caramel sweetness but very faint.
Wow. That is not a Marzen. I feel like maybe they canned the wrong beer. This is basically an adjunct lager. It has not one characteristic of a Marzen.
Its drinkable in terms of mouthfeel. Other than that they really need to go back to the drawing board.

Poured on draught into pint tumbler. Minimal head. Looks, smells, and tastes mostly like a lager. There's nothing that resembles the traditional style in this poor attempt at an Octoberfest, so avoid and find another Texas brew in this style.

Poured from the can into a pint glass. Looks like a run of the mill lager, but has a slightly herbal smell. Tastes better than it looks, with a slightly longer finish than others that look the same. Very faint citrus notes. Neither delights nor offends the palette.

Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Clear orangish yellow. Nice big foamy head, decent lacing. Slightly grassy smell. Taste is malty but slightly metallic, but not bad. Have had better Octoberfest beers.

Pours a clear light coppery orangish color with off-white head. Caramel malts, bread, some light fruit, and a little biscuit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes with more caramel and bread notes.
