Appearance: Pours a staggering cream-colored head, a bit coarse, but with superb retention. The body is a crystal-clear amber-red. Large patches of fat bubbles adorn the glass wall beneath the surface. Modest streams of carbonation drift lazily to the surface. The lacing is lovely, finely beaded, with numerous patches adorning the glass wall.
Aroma: The aroma presents toasted malt and dark caramel, toasted dark bread, and slight dark fruit, and spicy hops.
Taste: The taste opens with a slightly tart note, toasted malt, and a mild nuttiness. Soon, there is a mild wave of spices, including cinnamon and ginger. Towards the close, the spicy hops present. Finishes with a bit of tanginess and some lingering herbal hop bitterness.
Mouth feel: Smooth, soft, and full, very pleasant.
Drinkability/notes: This is a really nice example of an American Amber. I note with sadness that Legal Draft Beer Company is no more. This and several others of their beers that I was able to try were quite good. On this night of September 1st, the first of meteorological autumn, I lift a glass to Legal Draft Beer Company. Let them endure in memory.
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in a La Fin du Monde tulip.

Dark, ruby dark beer with a quarter inch head atop it. The nose offers some sweet caramel maltiness with a hint of spiciness. Taste is sweet, with a graham-cracker-like spices: nutmeg, allspice, a light touch of cinnamon. It's a bit too sweet for my taste, at least borderline. But it was good to find a spiced beer this fall, since in 2021, every seems to just be following the hazy ipa fad, neglecting everything popular in the past.
Not bad, but it wouldn't be one of my favorites.
