4oz pour at Beers Looking at You in Webster, TX. Description is Blackberry Black IPA. It isn’t.
L: no complaints. Really nice for the style.
S: best part. Pretty complex. Can inhale deeply and get a full scent without it being overpowering.
T: horribly disappointing. No blackberry at all. Just a very weak black ale. I’d grade higher if I hadn’t expected the blackberry. I can’t really find an IPA there either TBH. It’s not horrible, but it doesn’t fit the description.
F: just thin. No complaints but nothing special.
O: I was expecting a lot from the name and the style listed on the board. It’s not. It’s a black ale. Start there.
