Collaboration with Brouwerij Omer Vander Ghinste & Fuller's Brewery
RADON is a dark, low-gravity, malt-focused British session ale; refreshing, subtle and flavourful. The various malts deployed—Golden Promise, Light Crystal, English Brown Malt, Special B, Chocolate Wheat and Oats—equip the beer with a wide range of nuanced dark malt expression: think caramel, toffee, toast, nutty, chocolate, coffee, roast and liquorice. The English Ale yeast strain delivers some subtle ester profile, reminiscent of plum and raisin. It is part of a special six-pack of beers—the Noble Gas Project—created with twelve other breweries to celebrate the third birthday of Siphon Brewing.

Pours a deep, dark brown coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smells of toasted, caramel malt and quite a nutty character, with just a hint of coffee, chocolate and dark fruit, Taste follows the nose, with quite a nutty character and great balance of toasted, caramel malt, roasted walnuts and lighter notes of coffee, chocolate and dark fruits: fig, raisin, as well as hints of licorice and estery spice (clove). Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some toasted, nutty notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
This is an exceptional Mild with an impressive complexity and depth of flavor for the ABV. Toasted, caramel malt and roasted nuts and coffee, as well as chocolate, licorice and estery spice form an exceptional balance of sweet and bitter notes here, a pure joy to drink.
