If ever there is an example of a booze-forward imperial - this is it - and in this case, it wasn't a bad thing...

I let this thing age a year before I cracked it open, and boy, was I glad it did. Even so, the boozy smell in the nose and on the tongue was very distinct. However, it did not detract from the other aspects of the beer, such as it's lightly cherry flavored taste, and a nice velvety mouthfeel that I could not get enough. Overall, this is really a nice beer and last year's batch, which I had this year, was pretty damn good...

Cherry Poppins is an American Imperial Stout with so much going on. This Stout was Bourbon Barrel aged for months and cherries and Dark Chocolate were added. Its has a complexity that is up there with Barrel aged Finery from around the country.
Its deep mellow bourbon mouth feel over an incredible Dark chocolate cherry stout is one for the record books. It is very lightly carbonated and sweet on the front end, but ends in increasing umami taste sensation.
This a very small 110 gallon offering. Just 1,000 12oz. bottles will be made in 2017. I hope you have the pleasure of tasting this fantastic beer.
I cant wait to see if this up and coming Brewery will do something with this recipe. Because it ROCKS!!
