Collaboration with Front Street Brewery (NC), Edward Teach Brewing, Broomtail Craft Brewery
West Coast IPA
A quintessential West Coast IPA. 4 local breweries collaborated for Nourish NC, a nonprofit organization that fights hunger. So many of us have been impacted by COVID-19. Piney, citrusy, hoppy, sweet and a little dank. Drink local! Drink Wilmington!

Look: It pours golden and clear with a slightly off white head. Head retention is very good.
Smell: It has strong aromas of stone fruit (peach) with some berry in the background. There are also low grainy notes in the background.
Taste: There are strong peach flavors with a bit of sweetness. There is a very slight berry note in the background with a low cherry element.
Feel: It has a medium body with slight slickness on the tongue. The bitterness is medium without any harshness.
Overall, a stone fruit dominate beer that is quick drinkable and pleasant.

Nice IPA in the west-coast style! Dank, citrus-hoppy, with a drying aftertaste.

A: Pours a clear medium to dark copper in color with moderate amounts of carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate honey + burnt orange + bright yellow + bright orange + peach colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall dense sudsy pillowy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film covering a little more than 30% of the surface of the beer and a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of herbal + pine + earthy + citrus/grapefruit pith hops over the top of slightly lighter than moderate aromas of bready + toasted + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness.
T: Upfront there are slightly lighter than moderate flavors of bready + toasted + caramel malts with a light to moderate amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of herbal + pine + earthy + citrus/grapefruit pith hops which impart a light amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Enjoyable and easy to drink with well hidden alcohol. Nothing that stands out and I could have used a bit more aggressiveness to the bitterness but I could easily have a couple of these.
