Terrific malty but well balanced beer.
Full, sticky head of white foam, barely translucent black ale.
Aroma is lacking hops notes and mildly sweet.
Flavor is a blast of malt sugars with dark grain character balanced well with herbal and piney hop / spruce hop bite.
Body is a solid medium allowing all the ale fruity malty and herbaceous hop notes to mix with subtle Rye dryness helps develop a rich and complex hybrid IPA. Clear and no distracting citrus hop tang.
Finish is long and lingering hop bitterness and sweet dark grain treacle.

Black Rye IPA on draft at brewery
Dark black color, basically no head
Smells like a black IPA, not strong
Taste is smooth, low carbonation. Been awhile since had once but reminds me of the good black IPAs I have in past. Rye is noticable but over powering which is great. Really enjoyed this beer
