Appearance: clear golden yellow in color with a 1" head that slowly recedes. Some lace developed.

Smell: lemon zest and basil were really easy to pull frm the glass.

Taste: grass, lemon zest, crackers, and a bunch of basil flavor. Bitterness was moderate.

Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp from start to finish with some dryness arriving late. Refreshing.

Overall: a very unique IPA that had a great flavor profile and was perfectly balanced. My favorite at the brewery.

L: Had this beer at Ghost Monkey's taproom, poured into a snifter. Had an amber color and a slightly hazy consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Okay lacing.

S: A sweet, enticing aroma of citrus, hops, malt, and the advertised basil.

T: Tasted of a whole lot of basil, a fair amount of hops, light malt notes, a bit of lemon (not as much as I would have expected), and some other light fruits. The flavor certainly delivers on what it promises; the basil and lemon are definitely on display. Quite well-balanced, complex, and tasty.

F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Light- to medium-bodied.

O: This beer is an unusual take on the typical IPA style, which means it won't please everyone. Nonetheless, it's an interesting and drinkable beer.
