16 oz. can from a previously unknown (to me) brewery/store - can was filled 3 months ago but I took a chance on it as I was intrigued by the "Slaughterhouse" brand product name and an eye-appealing green label.. My initial reaction was not particularly enthusiastic perhaps due to the can's age but, by the end of my tasting, I wished I had more than the one can. Seemed more bitter than I would have expected from a New England style IPA but the can doesn't indicate that it's claiming to be that specific style. I agree with the can's claim that Slaughterhouse provides a "unique flavor" and, whatever the style, it's worthy of repeat purchases whenever I can find it in western MA. Hope they continue to package it in cans.

OUTLOOK FARM SLAUGHTERHOUSE IPA 12/6/17
A new brew from a local farm store. Name is from the fact that fresh pork is a major product of this store.
First had some of this one at our family Thanksgiving dinner and beer tasting. Then yesterday a daughter gave me a fourpack of pint cans. Can dated 11/8/17 with a label, so about a month old.
Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Tree House stemmed tulip
a; Cloudy orange with an inch thick white head which receded to thin surface foam and dense lacing.
s; Pine oil and citrus.
t; Follows the nose with a moderate hop bite, lingering bitterness over the medium bready malt base. Dry finish. Some additional lingering bitterness as it warms.
m; Solid medium, very good body and carbonation tingle.
o; A very good NE style IPA with an unfiltered look and a lot of hop flavor. A winner for this popular local country farm store which seemed to have been struggling a bit with its previous mostly non-IPA offerings in bombers.
