From the pint can, it pours a slightly hazy (!) yellow color with a vibrant white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets some grass with some bready malt. The mouth gets a pleasantly bitter light malt brew. Honestly, I enjoyed it, but it is not a true pilsner.

Crystal clear straw to gold color. Decent starting head but it settles to a film of bubbles throughout the tasting. Some streaks for lace.
Interesting smell of lavender and perhaps some sage. Definitely doesn't smell like a pilsner even though it is attractive.
The flavor is closer to the traditional, but it still has some spice bite. It's hard to pull forward the malt base. There's almost an anise touch to the flavor. Good body with a moderate carbonation level.

Thanks for JLindros for hooking me up with a can of this mediocrity. Canned 3/22/19.
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice crystal clear honey hue with a good one finger white head that fades slowly to leave very little lacing and a rather thin head. Decent enough.
S - Aromas of really unpleasant things. I don't really get any pilsner notes at all. Decent earthy roasted agave aroma, however, it smells like the cheapest shot you can order at a bar.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Again, no pilsner at all just earthy roasted vegative agave. Maybe a little citrus. Tastes like the rot gut you'd get your hands on before you were twenty one years old. Just really unpleasant.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated and lighter bodied, however, the potency of the tequilla barrel makes this drink MUCH higher than it really is.
O - Overall this was just an enigma. Why would this every be brewed let alone released? A pilsner...aged in a tequilla barrel? In what universe does that actually work out to being a good beer? This borderlines on being simply awful only saved by the fact that it does still technically deliver tequilla, even if it does taste like it came from a plastic handle.

Canned 3/22/19, also interesting beer, not only tequila barrel pislner which is weird, also they canned it, even weirder
Pours a medium frothy head with great retention and some lacing, mostly clear very slight chill haze pilsner medium gold color
Nose... yeah that's tequila for sure, citrusy but very earthy vegetal agave plant, a little peppery and some lime notes, as expected no sign of pilsner
Taste more tequila up front, very earthy herbal vegetal again like raw agave and soil, a little peppery, more citrus and lime juice like, a touch of toasted oak barrel, and again no pilsner, except a touch of spicy hop bitterness late
Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent medium carb
Overall what can I say, if I wanted tequila I'd open a good bottle of tequila, this tastes like cheap barely aged mezcal, no pilsner other than some hop presence, I like that they're trying fun things but come on, you had to know a pilsner will not come through a tequila barrel and survive.

Fun beer - the adjuncts brighten things up but aren't overly present like a true barrel aged beer. Fun premise. I'll happily reach for this again in the summer months.
