Golden color and nearly clear. Moderate head which leaves sporadic spots for lace.
The smell reminds me of candied ginger. Subsequent aromas have the bitter as well as the sour from a freshly cut pink grapefruit.
This almost like a shandy except with grapefruit, which is the predominant flavor. The IPA isn't hidden, closer to a 40-60 split. All of it together seems to work well. Full bodied with an above average carbonation level. This is an unusual and highly appealing beer where the complex flavors meld well.
