Unfiltered and hazy with heavy notes of banana balance well with the Hallertau and Tettnang hops.

How wonderful! I did, indeed, both add the beer & take & submit the resized pic that got approved! "The Tonedog" (Ha!) & I are old in-person traders from 'way back. On the ocCANsion of our first trade, I brought my CANs into school (BIG non-no) & then walked them up several blocks to where he was a taxi dispatcher at the time. He agreed that, since he is the more mobile of the two of us, he would make regular pickups at my house from then on. One is scheduled for this Su, 08 July 2018. Later, I took his dispatching position last year, but it was a burnout for too little pay.

Some of this CAN's history. I have been diagnosed with elevated levels of PSA, a byproduct of my prostate & I have to make routine visits to the Hershey Medical Center. I had an invasive biopsy in March that showed that everything is benign, but until I get better insurance, I take the train to Harrisburg & a bus to HER. On this trip, I stopped off in Middletown on the way home from HBG for a visit & procured some CANs for The CANQuest (tm). I did not have this CAN, or its mates, in the queue until the heat made them pooch out in unwanted ways. It was into the reefer & here we go!

I had a tough time with the Crack! being that the lid was pooched, but I have exbeerienced this before & I have a number of tools at my disposal to make it happen. I began with a slow, gentle Glug, but nothing untoward was happening, so I upped my game. At this point, I got an onrush of fizzy, foamy, eggshell-white head that puffed into just over two fingers before disappearing into wisps. Once I had finished my Glug, the glass was filled with what looked like egg yolk - cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5)! Wow. Nose smelled like my kind of Hefeweizen - more clove than banana! Yum. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was so clove-prevalent that I began to wonder if I were smoking a clove cigarette as I did in the early-1980s. Yes, there was the usual banana and lemon flavors, but this one was primarily clove. Finish was dry, spicy, clove-like & VERY refreshing. Mmmm.

A thanks to the man who added this beer, and I'm sure the pic as well, woodychandler for this beer. But it will be the tone dog reviewing it first. Poured from a 16 oz. can. This beer came out of the can quickly, resulting in a hazy yellow color with a 1 1/2 inch head. Smell is strong of bananas, some cloves. Taste is wheat, apples, banana is present but nothing like in the aroma. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer.
