Dark orange milkshake look with slight head from can. Juicy fruit based nose to this brew. Pretty nice so far. Wow nice flavor with slight bitterness. This could benefit from some additional carbonation as it has Very little with a thicker feel.

Interestingly, I had stopped by the brewpub in Middletown on my way home from Hershey & Harrisburg, which is where I procured the bulk of the CANs that I have or am adding to The CANQuest (tm) by virtue of my CANbined review & rating, but this one came from The FGBS, suggesting that Tattered Flag is beginning to distribute. Cool!

From the Bottle: "'It's what they're drinking these days.'"

If what they're drinking are hazebro NE AIPAs, then be aware that I am drinking them only out of a sense of inclusion. I began with a Crack! of the CAN's vent, followed by a steady Glug, but once clarity was not an issue, I ramped things up to a hard, aggro Glug. In turn, this created just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head with excellent retention. Color was a cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was redolent with the usual tropical fruit suspects of mango, papaya, guava & passion fruit, but also an offsetting pine mintiness. Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium, but silky, thanks to the inclusion of lactose & wheat. The taste, while MUCH better than the usual tropical fruit salad, was a bit TOO bitter. I know that saying so will get the FBI called in to investigate the presence of pods in my basement, but their "laundry list of hops" should have included some more malt. I LOVE bitterness, but this was to the point of saturation & even beyond. It was imbalanced in favor of its bitterness & each sip was leaving me gasping for breath. It just was not enjoyable, even for a self-described, self-avowed hophead like myself. Finish was dry and extremely bitter. I just felt like it needed some tweaks. Not, bad, but not great, either. YMMV.

Can dated 5/25/18 into pint glass. Pours a very cloudy amber-orange with a nice off-white head. Initial impression is a very juicy NEIPA, with lots of citrus, but nicely balanced. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish is slightly bitter but invites the next sip. My first beer from this brewery and I'm impressed!
