An easy-drinking Vienna-style amber lager with slow roasted caramel malts and a fine balance of character and smoothness.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. A special order from The Roundhouse Centre LCBO on Howard Ave. in nearby Windsor. My first beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery.

Clear amber brew under a moderate and short-lived head. Settles to a ring, no lacing of any sort. Nose is more hoppy than expected, needs more malt to properly resemble a Vienna. Taste profile is similar, more hop forward than malty. Sharp and bitter from hops rather than sweet from malt. Still plenty enough drinkable.

Pours a large foamy slight creamy head with great retention, doesn't really seem to fade, great lacing, slight hazy medium golden color
Nose is more like a German lager, fresh grainy sweet cereal pilsner malt, little batter, mild floral spicy hops and light mineral notes, no Vienna malts at all, no sweet biscuity toasty malt or caramel etc
Taste brings more of the same German pilsner but even for that it's OK at best, grainy sweet pilsner malt, cereal grain, little batter, light floral herbal hops with medium to lighter bitterness, soft lager with touch of minerals, into a crisp hop bitterness son teh finish
Mouth is medium to lighter bod, a bit of soft lager, medium to higher carb
Overall... for a German pilsner it would be pretty decent, but for a Vienna lager, especially when they even say amber-style, it's not really that close to that. It's a tasty beer but just not even close to a Vienna lager.

Delicious, malty aromas of molasses and caramel. Medium amber, pours with an inch of head that dissipates quickly. I bought a couple cans while visiting my Canadian friends. I wanted a good alternative to my everyday drinking Sam Adams Boston Lager (which is very hard to find in Canada), and this was a fabulous alternative and a great beer in it's own right.

Reddish amber coloured with a thinnish head. Sweetish, caramel / apple, grainy. Pleasant but a little nondescript.

473ml can
5.0% ABV
Main/Bronte LCBO Outlet (Milton, Ontario, Canada)

$3.05
The beer pours a translucent red-tinged gold colour with a generous foamy white head which quickly recedes to a thin rocky layer of islands. The aroma is very grainy, some herbal hops, and some off-putting acidic notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with slightly above average carbonation. The flavour is grains and some bitter hops but for the most part is very non-descript.

My can poured nicely but, unlike previous logs, was not clear but cloudy, indicating an unfiltered specimen. Good average lager.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Purchased for $3 CDN at the local LCBO.
Appearance - rich, dark golden color with good clarity and a foamy half finger of head that sits and lingers on top.
Smell - Clean with lots of grassy notes and a slight sweet malty euro pale lager style nose. Thin and slightly metallic.
Taste - Bold and malty with oodles of caramel notes and maybe even some molasses shining through. Middling bitterness, but a little towards the sweet end of things. Bits of pepper at the end of a sip.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, a little sticky good carbonation, slight drying finish and good feel overall.
Overall - A good but not great vienna lager, although those enjoying fuller bodies with plenty of malt and a slight peppery finish are sure to enjoy this.
