Clear dark reddish brown brew with minimal foam in the pint nonic. Aroma of roasted malt. Just slightly sweet, clean roasted malt flavor with hints of burnt sugar and smoke. More flavors of apple and a dark fruity finish. The slight bitter aftertaste is welcome. Overall this is a workmanlike brew in the Scottish style. On tap at the Stone Church tasting room in downtown Riverside.
