This beer comes from the Red Racer 'Across the Nation" 12 pack. Brewed by Barn Hammer Brewing in Winnipeg Manitoba. This is the first smoked beer style that I could actually finish. The smokiness isn't overwhelming and you can still tell the beer style is truly a saison.
Look: Slightly cloudy, golden colour. It looks like a proper saison. (Not sure where the amber name comes from?)
Smell: This beer smells amazing. It's smoky, yet full of sweetness and fruity scents. Seriously, I don't usually spend time smelling beers but this one smells really good.
Taste: Tastes of some fruitiness, I think Belgian yeasts and very light smokiness. Classic European saison taste profiles.
Feel: Feels like a normal beer. It's a liquid and I'm not a wine drinker.
Overall: Really great. I only write reviews for beers that I feel shock me in a good way, or in a very very bad way. I'm delighted to say that this beer is really well done and is quite unique. Not a session beer, but for a treat it really hits a home run.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
