Having this beer on tap at the brewery. This beer draws a somewhat cloudy/hazy medium golden color with a very nice white head that’s a very solid 1/2 inch thick when drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing here. Seems too clear/like this has been filtered too much for a beer of this style. Should be cloudier/hazier. Aromas of some lightly toasted, bready malts and wheat along with some slight hints of banana and clove. The taste is pretty much the same, with flavors of lightly toasted, bready malts and wheat along with some slight hints of banana and clove. Not a bad tasting beer at all, but the banana and clove notes fall short for what a beer of this style should have of these taste wise. They need to be stronger, and I feel like I really had to have my palate actively search for these here to find them being only lightly present here. This drinks more like an American Wheat Ale than a Hefeweizen. Has a crisp, smooth, somewhat frothy, slightly creamy, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with light to moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish. Not bad, but just not quite to the style I feel. A refreshing beer on this very warm mid April afternoon here in Cleveland, but the flavor profile just falls short here.
