This is a special, one-off, brewed once only, beer by several different greater northeast Ohio area breweries for the kickoff of Cleveland Beer Week. This one was brewed by Gold Horn Brewery, Noble Beast Brewing Company, Railroad Brewing Company, Saucy Brew Works, and The Brew Kettle. Had this on-tap the opening night of Cleveland Beer Week about 23 days ago, but got a growler of this yesterday at a Heinen's grocery store. Poured into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a very dark brown color with a dark tan head that's about 1/3 inch when first poured. Head settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass, nice cluster swirls of foam on the beer's surface. Decent lacing. Aromas of roasted, caramel and chocolate malts along with coffee and milk notes. The taste is pretty much the same, with roasted malts with hints of caramel and chocolate followed by hints of coffee and milk notes. Rounded out with a bit of earthy hop bitterness. Good flavor profile that's pretty much spot on for the style. has a fairly crisp, yet smooth and slightly creamy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly dry aftertaste, and all the flavors like to linger nicely on the palate after each sip. Too bad this is likely a one-off, one time only brew.
