Mild roasted aroma, with a touch of spice. Pours an opaque black with a thin cap of light tan head. The spicing is mild, and works well with the roasted notes. Slightly light body, easy drinking. A nice change from the sweeter holiday beers that are all around this time of year.

Looked really good with great head retention. Aromas were incredibly subtle and hard to get at all. Spices in general were incredibly subtle. Normally I would like this as I am not into the overly spiced holiday styles. But with little spice this was really a quite bland and basic stout.

Canned on 11/12/18. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a nice khaki head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Chocolate is there along with some subtle spice notes in the background. The flavors are pretty roasty. The roasted characteristics come through. Some dark chocolate. Some hints of cinnamon and peppermint in the finish. The coffee is hard to pick up on, but I do believe it's there. Malts do their thing. Moderate bitterness. Finishes dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's on the fuller side of medium-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.
This is a solid stout. The spices are mild, but work perfectly. This is fitting for the holidays and cooler weather.
