Having this beer on tap at the brewery. Served in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a clear, medium to dark amber/copper color color with a very nice white head that’s a very solid 1/2 inch thick when drawn and served. Head eventually settles to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing here though. Aromas of some toasted caramel and bready malts along with some floral, piney hops. Are you very similar flavor profile, with the aforementioned bready, caramel, toasted malt sweetness that is followed with some piney and floral hop bitterness. While overall I would say this beers flavor profile is well balanced, the hops do tend to dominate a bit. And of course that is quite appropriate for a beer of this style. Has a crisp, also somewhat smooth, medium bodied mouth feel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish, and the flavors linger for a while on the pallet for a while for a nice aftertaste. A very nice beer overall.

"BURGERS : OHIO RAISED BEEF FED WITH THE SPENT GRAIN FROM EVERY ONE OF OUR BREW BATCHES."

"Oh yeah, and there's beer."

Goldhorn Brewery, established in 2016, these guys are brand new and hungry. If you see a store stocking Goldhorn, try their beer, consider visiting the brewery, and give them a shot.

Onto the review.

Red ale in color, like a Smithwicks Red Ale. Sharp hops on the nose. Good foamy lacing.

I love this beer. See, with most IPAs, the hops take over and your middle palate is doing most of the work. With Secret Identity, you start with wholesome malt, stimulating the back palate, and then a pleasant hoppy finish. It's pretty much all malts, I recommend it to those who want something crafty but are shy of hops.

It reminds me of a Warsteiner (established 1753) Dunkel, with some hops added to spice up the brew. 10/10 would recommend.
