Canned 12/10/21... Bright pinkish-purple brew... Features Mosaic hops, blueberries, vanilla, and sugar... Little bit of tang up front, but as it warms the blueberry really blossoms and works well with the Mosaic hops... Moderately sweet, no bitterness, fruity but not over-done; smooth and light... I figured I'd like it and I was right... Fun stuff...

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence, custom taster pint; canned on 11/15/19.
A: Pours a cloudy lavender-violet color with raspberry red highlights, very limited head formation, rim retention, and basically no lacing.
S: Aromas of maple syrup, vanilla, and the oil pan fried pancakes. There is a subtle, spiciness (?oregano or thyme) I am having a hard time placing.
T: Sweet. Flavor basically follow the nose, with a strong emphasis on maple syrup. One can imagine blueberry after acclimating to the other flavors. Little or no bitterness and just a subtle, sweet aftertaste.
M: Medium bodied with low carbonation. Fairly smooth.
O: Decadent Ales always sound so interesting in theory, but too many disappoint. Thought this would be sweet and fruit; just sweet and cloyingly so. I could have just as easily downed a glass of Mrs. Butterworth's. Stuff on tap there I have generally enjoyed. This, not at all.
