Pour is an oily jet black. minimal cinnamon colored head that disappears to be nothing more than the faintest ring around the glass.
nose is coconut, hints of fudge, vanilla,
Taste follows. Coconut upfront, fudgey chocolate, vanilla, latte. hint of cinnamon - chocolate covered toasted coconut. Enough bitterness from the roasted malt to keep the beer from being too sweet. Easy to drink. Coconut is most apparent, dominating other flavors. Not necessarily in a bad way. But would like to see a little more from the fudge and vanilla.
Smooth creamy, viscous body.

Served in snifter glass from the can.
Appearance: black collar with a dark tan head which initially Rose half of finger's length with a vigorous pour.
Smell: milky aroma mixed with cinnamon and creamy cheesecake.
Taste: sweet pastry style which consists of molasses heavy vanilla like chocolate and small doses of cinnamon.
Mouth: sticky body with a soft carbonation which lingers in the palates.
Overall: very good beer but honestly it's a remixed version of their tiramisu. 100% worth grabbing if you like pastry stouts, semi sweet but strong enough that you will remember it. Salud!

Decadent Ales "Snowball"
16 fl. oz. can, "CANNED ON 1/23/20 11:08" and sampled on 03/03/21
$6.79 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is certainly a dark beer; it looks even darker than molasses coming out of the can. Yeah, it's opaque when held to the light. The head is a short cap of densely, fine-bubbled dark tan foam. The aroma is intense! I smell alcohol, coconut, some non-specific fruit, dark sugary caramel, and roastiness. So what's in here?... coconut, chocolate fudge, and vanilla beans. OK, that fits. On to the flavor... it's a bit acidic and I get what appears to be a cherry flavor. I'm probably just imagining that because it's tart. But WTF? How old is this? Ahhh, I see, this is from January 2020 - I thought it was from November 2020. Thanks Total Wine & More, you've screwed me again. I can't do a proper review of this now, I'll have to get a fresher example. I'm not going to let an expensive beer go though, so I'll just rate it hedonistically based on what's here, and what I can tell was here before. Damn. At least it's still tasty.

An over the top dessert stout, delicious sugary madness but as a result really limited drinkability. 16oz can was a chore to drink alone and I intended to share with my wife but...she passed out before she could drink much. Lots of Coconut and chocolate, a candy bar in a glass. Everything is turned way up and the vanilla bean addition only amplifies that even more. The “feel” is right in that it’s a bit chewy and sticky and is substantial enough to support all of this. If one was sharing the can between three people this sugary excess would be a little easier to handle.
