Pours clear, amber in color with minimal head. Taste is alcohol, figs, and white sugar. Sweet, heavy bodied, low carbonation. Makes for an ok barleywine. I would like a bit more fig. Sweet but missing some of the caramelly flavors I associate with the style. Will pass in the future.

A: Caramel strawberry ranging to a maroon-amber. Fast rising bubbles gives it a disc of cream colored head, which quickly pops until only shades are left on the circumference.

S: Mostly dried fruit. Earthy, citrus, woody. Chocolate, cinnamon, and berries. More brambly and punchy than rich or decadent.

M: Well attenuated. Very smooth feel even with the slight warming alcohol.

T: Cutting resin and molasses slashes thru sweet berry and caramel. Overall, flavors just seem muted and watery even.
