India Pale Ale with maple syrup, caramelized sugar, and bacon added.

We took our french toast IPA, using maple syrup and caramelized sugar, and added loads of bacon for the perfect breakfast IPA.

L: golden, cloudy, very robust head that lingers.
S: not the strongest point. a bit of citrus. light bread note.
T: sweet. carmelized sugar. i don't really get bacon but there is a rich taste that could be a mix of maple and bacon.
F: smooth, rich. not the best but strong.
O: wanted to like it more than i did. still, got it for a great price so definitely worth the attempt.

Nice flavors of cinnamon and a mellow hoppy vibe. But I get none of the advertised bacon, nor any bready notes. Hop flavors add some complexity. Overall a decent beer, but nothing like what the label infers.

- IPA with maple syrup, caramelized sugars and bacon added.

A: Bright orange coloring glows in the glass with a bready textured and colored head. Weakly holding lace, small remains. Very good haze factor, hearty with micro-effervesce tone.

S: Wet bread, some vague caramelized brown sugar and stale malt. The maple syrup and bacon are non-factors/influences. Faint, not really a contributor nor defined. I believe this is the first time I have been disappointed in a Decadent beer aroma in regards to their specialty/oddities styles. Didn't really meet/match my expectations.

T: Malty caramelized sugary flavor, the bacon is a bit more noticeable, but not enough to impress or make a difference. Hard to define if not previously made aware. French toast breadiness, buttery malt, cinnamon spicing. The maple syrup is noticeable, much as the bacon, there but more of a background/complimentary factor. Sweet toasty grains and oranges, some tart tropical hop fade rounds things out here.

M: Full bodied, creamy and full, rich and malty feel. A soft carbonation factor.

O: While the flavor is good by itself, it doesn't scream out bacon french toast in any shape or form. Wouldn't recommend or go out of my way, Decadent has a host of other oddly flavored/themed beers better suited and worthy of your time. If you are expecting a breakfast treat you will be disappointed. If you just want a decent (neipa), then you will be more within your rights.

Pours a hazy straw color with a slightly off-white and finely bubbled head.

Aroma is intensely hoppy. Lots of orange notes. After a good swirl or two, I'm really getting the maple syrup and french toast scents. A slight undercurrent of bacon, but I might just be reaching for it.

Yep. It tastes like bacon french toast. Although the bacon is not a super strong note, it is definitely there. There are still orange notes in the flavor as well. A hint of white bread in there as well. Starts off quite sweet. Finishes just bitter enough to make you want to have another sip. Can taste that alcohol in the finish as well. I can't say this is the most complex flavor, but it does taste like what it says.

Mouthfeel is full-bodied and almost comes across like syrup. While this does add to the Bacon French Toast thing, but it also makes this kind of a chore to drink. It is moderately carbonated. Alcohol warmth is definitely noticeable, but doesn't seem out of place in something from Decadent Ales.

Overall, this is another interesting NEIPA from Decadent. I believe they hit the mark with what they were going for. It is a taxing beer though. I am drinking this pint can alone, and I really can't recommend doing the same. It would be a better beer to share amongst a friend or two (or three).

Very solid sweet IPA from Decadent. Maple and sugar are prominent, but the bacon isn't lost in the mix, with a salty, slightly smokey kiss primarily on the back end.

Oddly enough, almost none of that is present on the nose, which gives an almost generic, piney hop profile.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours very hazy/cloudy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger dense and cream off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, maple syrup, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, honey, caramel, and biscuit dough; with light notes of bacon smoke, cinnamon, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, maple syrup, sugars, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, maple syrup, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, honey, caramel, and biscuit dough; with light notes of bacon smoke, cinnamon, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, maple syrup, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, honey, caramel, biscuit dough, light cinnamon/pepper/pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, maple syrup, sugars, and bready malt flavors; with a with a solid malt/sugar/bitterness balance; and no cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 8.4%. Overall this is a fantastic flavored NEIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, maple syrup, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Fantastic Citra profile. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; with perfect balance of maple syrup, sugars, and oat/malts. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing base style example as expected. Just as impressive as the base beer, but not as much actual bacon flavors as I hoped for.

From a 16oz can. Pours an amber-gold with a nice head. Very, very sweet on the nose and palate. Lots of vanilla and maple syrup notes. Did not get any bacon flavor above a tiny saltiness on the finish. A fun —SWEEET — beer to try but I would not want to drink this very often.
