16 oz. Can
CANNED ON: 06/24/22
Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which also leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, pineapple, mango, peach), some vanilla, pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach), pretty nice diesel like, nice little vanilla sweetness, nice little tangyness. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty beer. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake!

I love Decadent but I was a little disappointed in this one. I was expecting a creamier, fruitier IPA and I felt this was lighter and actually a little bit sour. The pineapple comes through but the sweetness is muted and doesn't feature in this brew. This beer is lighter than I expected and doesn't have the complex flavor profile I was looking for.

Pours hazy, brightly gold in color with one inch head. Taste is pineapple juice and light hops. Light bodied, sweet with moderate carbonation. Makes for a great fruit forward ipa.

Served in an 8 oz (237 ml) Teku glass at the Decadent Brewery in Mamaroneck, NY. Subsequently, obtained some at the brewery in 16 oz (473 oz) portions, canned on 12/06/19, and served in a custom taster on 12/20/12.
A: Pours an opaque, dark golden orange color (think lightly tarnished brass). When served, it had a three finger, foamy, off-white head, remarkable retention (reminded me of the head on a milkshake), and rings and rings lacing, but was not very lively out of the can.
S: Aromas of pineapple, caramel, pink grapefruit, under ripened nectarine, barley, and vanilla; does resemble some sort of pineapple whip dessert.
T: Semisweet. On tap, drinks a smooth, creamy melange of the above. More fruit focused out of the can. Fairly light bitterness (barely noticed it in the overall flavor context).
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth.
O: Yum. Made on a Goldenrod base with real vanilla beans. Originally a one off, but I fed back to the bartender that Decadent needs to make (and market) more and, excitingly, it was available in cans the next time I stopped in.
