Served on tap into an 8 oz (237 ml) Teku glass at Decadent Ales at Mamaroneck, NY.
A: Pour a rich, cloudy looking, very dark brown color with a very short lived, light brown head, rim retention, and minimal lacing.
S: Aromas of caramel, molasses, dark chocolate, cafe au lait, orange zest, toffee, plum, and licorice. Roasty overall.
T: Sweet. Flavors basically follow the nose. Bitterness a solid counterpoise to the sweetness.
M: Full bodied with no more than moderate carbonation.
O: This is a delicious, dessert style, Imperial Stout very consistent with Decadent's flavor profile.
