Presentation: 16 oz. can with no dates. Served in a Rastal Harmony tumbler.

Appearance: The bright white, dense, one and a half finger head stays around for a while and leaves behind a foam ring and a lot of lacing in patches and small spots. It's a hazy, antique gold color.

Smell: It's a strong, stewed strawberry aroma. There's some more fruity flavors in the background of cherries and raspberries.

Taste It's a tart, fruity, flavor of strawberry jam. There's also some lemon and a bready, mildly salty note of sourdough bread to wrap things off.

Mouthfeel: It's medium bodied, with medium-high carbonation. It has a long finish and some tingly bubbles remain long after it goes down.

Overall: A tart, fruity beer that's strong on the strawberry flavor as advertised.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a one point can on March 13, 2020. I would like to thank my brother for sharing this with me. Sour ale loaded with strawberries. Very good.

Tangy with fruit and soft with creamy effects, sorbet usually suggests there's something moderately tart and balanced with a sweet slightly milky balance. Not here though. When Decadent Ales say "sorbet", they acually mean "sourbet".

Their strawberry infused Strawberry Sorbet kicks off without a berry in sight; pouring with a pale gold hue cast inside a slight haze. As a part fizzy, part frothy cap begins to build, its souring scent of under ripened green fruit, red berry and modest vanilla tones tease the nose with essence of berry and light pastry. Gentle with maltiness on the early palate, hints of sourdough, taffy and angel food cake begin to glow.

But its the strawberry and underlying sourness that flood the middle palate. The sour ale's natural tendencies toward crabapple, lime, lemon, gooseberry and white grape shape a much more sour than expected level of acidity. Skiring across the sourness and fledgling malts likes a strawberry essence that's redolent with both green and red berries but never overtly of strawberry. Hints of rhubarb, cranberry and redcurrant precede a slightly peppery bite late on the palate.

Light in body, a mild mannered creaminess is the only buffer from a sour finish, but a short finish of red berries and bracing sourness washes the thirst with ease with a brief aftertaste of burlap and sourdough.

Doesn't taste anything like strawberry nor sorbet, a bit of a disappointment. HOWEVER, it has a great sour taste with a clean base that actually makes it a good beer. Don't buy for name or for its label, buy if you are a sour slut and like your sours, well pretty sour. Once you have it you'll understand everything I said.
