Showing that they are much more than just cereal and juice, Decadent Ales steps away from the breakfast table to takes a seat at the bar stool. With a pep of bitterness and not afraid to allow the alcohol to show, this step toward IPA is just this orange infused IPA needs.
Pale and somewhat muddy in its pastel gold hue, the dense blanket of froth that's cast upon the ale soon entices the nose with a more herbal and orange scent. Trending strongly in the citronella directly, hints of tea, verbena and branch-ripe valencia are front and center. Sweet with notions of pastry, honey and lighter cereal, the first palate impressions are creamy, starchy and medium sweet.
Orange Gusher simply gushes with a strong tangerine, mandarin, kumquat character as on the middle palate. Not shying away from its focus on the citrus fruit, the beer allows the hops to bring a complementary blend of white grapefruit, light tropical fruit and lemon zest. As the ale turns to balance, a firm hop spice takes the taste into a verbena, sassafras, grassy, hemp-like taste.
Medium full and trending malty-dry, the beer's early creaminess gives way to an herbal bite of sun tea, citrus oil, spruce, cedar and lemon pepper. With a twinge of curacao liquor, its alcohol is warming as pleasantly spicy with a medium long linger of bitterness that clearly outweighs the cereal sweetness.

Mind blown. Pours like fresh squeezed. Fine lacing. Smells just like I’m peeling an orange. Each sip is just like eating an orange. Smooth and balanced. A crazy good DIPA!

16oz can. Poured out a cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of orange peel, orange juice and some piney bitterness. So much sweet orange taste with subtle piney bitterness and toasted caramel.

A winner from decadent has a very strong presence of orange puree good citrus smell and bite and ABV is well hidden. Just a shame these beers are so ridiculously expensive but find it for a couple bucks for the pounder was quite a treat. One of their better IPA based beers!

Poured into a Tree House glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is pretty nice hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, peach, nectarine), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a pretty tasty brew. Orange Julius! Addictive! MilkShake! Nice to see it around here.
