A truly weird beer we have here, a DIPA brewed with strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, and brown sugar, but that's honestly expected for Decadent. A collaboration brew with their literal next door neighbors, Half Time Beverages, the folks responsible for the virtual BA fests and a great place to get some quality brews. I picked this up there on a trip to New York over the weekend and I'm excited to try this oddball

Pours an opaque reddish purple with 2 fingers of pink tined white head that quickly fades to a thin ring and leaves no lacing

Well, this definitely gives the vibe of a jelly donut in the nose, super sweet and fruity but somehow not cloying due to the subtle tartness. I'm picking up on aromas of raspberry purée, sweet cinnamon, brown sugar, overripe strawberry, sweet vanilla, light bready malt, and jammy blueberry. A lot going on and it's really odd, not sure how their calling it a DIPA since there's almost no hop presence but I like it

Ok, this is decidedly more of a DIPA in taste, but after the anticipation of the aroma, I was expecting something different. On the front end of the sip I'm tasting earthy hops, tangy lemon, bready malt, and light blackberry. The swallow brings notes of juicy strawberry, earthy hops, brown sugar, light maple, doughy malt, and jammy blueberry

A medium full body pairs with mild carbonation, resulting in a smooth and decadent beer, no pun intended. Finishes off dry with a nice sweetness offset by a slow-creeping bitterness

This is definitely wild stuff right here, no question about it. I really can't find a reason why this should work so well, but it does, and a lot better than some of their other strange beers. Honestly worth a shot because it's very unique
