Evergreen Brewery

 

its amazing how many little breweries now exist in this little area. somehow i have missed this place until now, but i am glad we found it. its upstairs in a little business complex off the side of the road there, a moutntain town feeling taproom with local art and a lot of wood features, small brewhouse in the back with some plastic fermenters visible, a humble operation for sure. the best part is the patio, which looks out to the west to a beautiful vista of grasslands turning into rolling hills turning into distant snow capped peaks, very colorado, very relaxing, dogs are of course welcome on this little patio! the had a solid selection of beers, maybe near ten to choose from. all were decent, but the irish red, the lager, and the coconut hefe were my favorites of the ones we had. they were ambitious and well made enough to be interesting and drinkable, but nothing mind blowing in here. service was just okay, even though there werent real crowded, its got that overly chill everyone is stoned kind of feel, nobody to concerned about anything, but it seems to be working for them. we had a snack too, some sort of cheesy dip that was pretty good, but nothing too unexpected for a place like this. overall one of the better breweries in evergreen both in terms of beer an ambiance, and after some time hiking around up there, its an awful nice place to relax and put a couple of beers back!
